Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated 8 September 2026
Who you are buying from
BlitsQuote is sold by Eunan Nortje, a sole proprietor trading from
Plot 77, Road no 2, Wheatlands, Randfontein, Gauteng, South Africa.
Email BlitsQuote@gmail.com. All prices are in South African
rand. No VAT is charged.
What we sell
BlitsQuote is quoting and cutting-list software for cabinet makers. A licence covers one computer.
| Licence | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | R200 | Recurring — charged every month until you cancel |
| Yearly | R2 000 | Recurring — charged every year until you cancel |
| Permanent | R6 000 | One payment. Nothing recurs and nothing renews |
The monthly and yearly licences are subscriptions: they renew automatically and keep charging your card until you cancel them. The permanent licence is a single payment and never charges you again.
The free trial comes first
BlitsQuote is free for 14 days. It is the complete program with nothing held back, no account and no card details. The trial exists so you can be certain the software suits your shop before you pay anything. Please use it — it is the reason the rest of this policy is fair.
Refunds
Licence fees are not refundable once a licence key has been issued for your computer. This applies whether or not you go on to use the software.
The reason is that a licence key cannot be taken back. Once it is issued it unlocks the software on that computer permanently, and there is no way for us to remove it. That is also why the trial is the full program for a full fourteen days rather than a cut-down version.
When we do refund
We will refund you in full if:
- The key does not work. If a licence key will not activate the software on the computer it was bought for, and we cannot make it work within 5 working days of you telling us, you get your money back in full.
- You were charged twice for the same licence, or charged after cancelling. We refund the duplicate or the incorrect charge.
Refunds are paid back to the card or account the payment came from, within 10 working days of us agreeing the refund. Ask by emailing BlitsQuote@gmail.com.
Cancelling a monthly or yearly licence
You can cancel at any time, and you do not have to give a reason or any notice.
To cancel, do either of these:
- Email BlitsQuote@gmail.com with the email address you paid with, or your installation number. We cancel it within 2 working days and email you to confirm. This always works, and it is the surest route.
- Use the receipt Paystack emailed you when you subscribed. It carries a link for managing the subscription, which lets you cancel it yourself straight away.
What happens once you cancel:
- Your card is never charged again.
- The licence keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel a monthly licence a week in, you keep the remaining three weeks.
- The part-period you have already paid for is not refunded — the licence simply runs to the end of it and is not renewed.
- When the period ends the software returns to being locked, and your saved work stays on your computer. Nothing is deleted and nothing is sent to us.
If you cancel and are charged again afterwards, that is our mistake and we refund it in full — see When we do refund above.
Changing to a different licence
If you are on a monthly or yearly licence and want the permanent one, email us. We will tell you what is left to pay and cancel the subscription when the permanent licence is issued, so you are never paying for both at once.
Your rights under South African law
Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under South African law that cannot be signed away, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where this policy and those rights disagree, those rights win.
Getting hold of us
Email BlitsQuote@gmail.com. We answer within 2 working days. If something has gone wrong with a payment, say so in the subject line and we will treat it as urgent.
The licence agreement is on this page too — read the end user licence agreement.
BLITSQUOTE END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT
Version 1.1 · Effective date: 8 September 2026
1. WHO THIS AGREEMENT IS BETWEEN
"the Licensor", "we", "us" and "our" mean Eunan Nortje, of Plot 77, Road no 2, Wheatlands, Randfontein, Gauteng, South Africa.
"you" and "your" mean the person or business that installs or uses the Software. If you are installing it for a business, you confirm that you are entitled to accept this agreement on its behalf.
"the Software" means BlitsQuote, the cabinet quoting and cutting-list program, including its installer, its updates, and its written material.
"Installation Number" means the number the Software shows on its activation screen, which identifies one computer.
"Licence Key" means the code we issue against one Installation Number, which unlocks the Software on that computer.
2. WHAT YOU MAY DO
We licence the Software to you. We do not sell it to you. We remain the owner of it.
Subject to payment and to this agreement, you may install and use the Software on ONE computer per Licence Key.
You may use the Software for your own commercial work, including quoting and selling to your own customers. Anything you produce with it — your quotes, cutting lists, prices and customer details — belongs to you, not to us.
You may make a copy of the installer for backup.
3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
You may not:
install or run the Software on more computers than you hold Licence Keys for;
give, sell, rent, lend, sub-licence or publish a Licence Key, or share one with another business;
sell, rent, lend or distribute the Software itself;
decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent the law expressly allows despite this clause;
remove, disable, or work around the licensing, the trial period, or any part of the Software that checks whether it is licensed;
remove or alter any copyright notice or ownership mark; or
use the Software to build a competing product.
4. TRIAL
The Software runs for FOURTEEN (14) DAYS from first installation without a Licence Key, so that you can decide whether it suits your shop before paying.
The trial is the full Software. It is offered on the same "as is" basis as a paid licence, and clauses 8 and 9 apply to it.
The Software checks the date against a time server where one is reachable. Setting your computer's clock back to extend the trial is a breach of clause 3.5.
5. THE LICENCE AND ITS PRICE
The Software is offered on three licences. All prices are in South African rand and no VAT is charged:
- (a) MONTHLY at R200 a month;
- (b) YEARLY at R2 000 a year; and
- (c) PERPETUAL at R6 000, paid once.
The MONTHLY and YEARLY licences are SUBSCRIPTIONS. They renew by themselves and your card is charged again at the start of each new period, for as long as the licence continues, until you cancel it. We do not ask you again before each renewal.
You may cancel a monthly or yearly licence at any time, without notice and without giving a reason. Clause 12.4 says what happens when you do, and our published Refund and Cancellation Policy at blitsquote.co.za says how to do it.
A PERPETUAL licence is a single payment. It does not expire, nothing renews, and there is no further payment to make.
A licence covers the version current at the date of purchase, and any update to that version we choose to release. It does not entitle you to a different product we may sell separately in future.
We may change our prices for future purchases. A change never affects a licence you have already paid for. If we change the price of a subscription you already hold, we will tell you by email at least one full period before the new price is charged, so that you can cancel first if you would rather not pay it.
6. HOW A LICENCE IS TIED TO A COMPUTER
A Licence Key works on the one computer whose Installation Number it was issued against. It will not work on another.
If that computer is replaced, repaired, or its hardware changes so that the Installation Number changes, send us the new Installation Number and we will re-issue the key. This is free ONCE per licence. We may ask you to confirm the old computer is no longer running the Software.
Any further re-issue is at our discretion and may be charged for.
We may decline to re-issue keys where the pattern of requests suggests the licence is being shared rather than moved.
7. WHAT WE PROVIDE, AND WHAT WE DO NOT
We will supply the Licence Key within 2 business days of cleared payment and receipt of your Installation Number.
We do not undertake to correct every fault, to add any particular feature, or to keep the Software compatible with future versions of Windows or of any other program.
Features shown in the Software as planned or not yet built — the CNC tab among them — are statements of intention only. They are not promised, not part of what you are paying for, and may never be released.
Support is by email to E.Nortje@proton.me during ordinary business hours, and is limited to the operation of the Software.
8. NO WARRANTY, AND THE FIGURES ARE YOURS TO CHECK
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it is free of faults, that it will run without interruption, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE. The Software calculates quantities, material usage and prices. Those calculations depend entirely on what you enter: your sizes, your material prices, your markups, your waste and your hours.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING EVERY FIGURE BEFORE YOU QUOTE, ORDER, CUT OR INVOICE. The Software is a tool that assists your estimating. It does not replace your own judgement, and a number it produces is not a professional opinion.
We do not warrant that any cutting list, sheet count, optimisation or price produced by the Software is correct, economical, or sufficient for the job.
9. LIMIT OF OUR LIABILITY
Nothing in this agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to 9.1, we are NOT liable for:
- (a) any loss of profit, revenue, contract, business, goodwill or anticipated saving;
- (b) any loss arising from a quote that was too low, a cut that was wrong, material ordered short or over, or work priced at a loss;
- (c) any loss of, or corruption to, your data or project files; or
- (d) any indirect or consequential loss of any kind,
whether or not we were told such loss was possible.
Subject to 9.1, our total liability to you for all claims, however arising, is limited to THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US for the licence.
You accept that the price of the Software reflects this allocation of risk, and that we would not licence it on these terms without it.
10. YOUR DATA
The Software runs on your own computer. Your projects, customers, prices and quotes are stored on that computer, in your own files.
We do not collect, transmit or store your project data.
The Software contacts a public time server to check the date. No personal or business information is sent in doing so.
We keep the details you give us when buying — your name, business name, email address and Installation Number — to issue and re-issue keys. We keep them for as long as you hold a licence and for 5 years afterwards.
Backing up your own work is your responsibility.
11. IF THIS AGREEMENT IS BROKEN
Your licence ends immediately, without refund, if you breach clause 3, and we may decline to issue you further keys.
On the licence ending for any reason, you must stop using the Software and remove it from your computers. Your own saved work remains yours.
12. REFUNDS
LICENCE FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Once a Licence Key has been issued for your computer, the fee paid for it is not refundable, whether or not you go on to use the Software.
The fourteen-day trial is the reason clause 12.1 is fair. It is the complete Software, with nothing held back and no payment card asked for, and it exists so that you can satisfy yourself the Software suits your shop BEFORE you pay. Please use it.
If a Licence Key does not work on the computer it was issued for and we cannot make it work within 5 business days, you may have a full refund of that licence.
A monthly or yearly licence may be stopped at any time, and you will not be charged again. Stopping it does not refund any part of the period already paid for; the licence simply runs to the end of that period and is not renewed.
Nothing here limits any right to a refund the law gives you that cannot be contracted out of, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
How to ask for a refund, and how to cancel a monthly or yearly licence, are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy at blitsquote.co.za. Where that policy gives you more than this clause does, the policy applies.
13. GENERAL
This agreement is the whole agreement between us about the Software, and replaces anything said or written beforehand.
If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
If we do not enforce a term straight away, we do not give up the right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else. We may transfer it if our business is sold, on notice to you.
This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
Notices to us go to E.Nortje@proton.me. Notices to you go to the email address you gave when buying.
14. ACCEPTING THIS AGREEMENT
By installing the Software, clicking "I agree", or entering a Licence Key, you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software, and delete it.
